On behalf of the Araz restaurant, we appeared at the VinCE Festival, where our guests could choose from special delicacies, between 28 February and 2 March 2014; during the three days, the Bagel with Smoked Duck Breast became a great favourite – so we are thinking of adding it to our snack menu in summer – but Bagel with Brie Cheese, Strudel with Apple, Walnut and Poppy Seed, furthermore Cottage-Cheese Strudel with William’s Pear and Golden Raisins were also offered.
The VinCE Magazine organised the most beautiful and the greatest wine event of Central-Europe, the VinCE Budapest Wine Show, for the fifth time. On 2 March a pastry competition took place at the event, where the pastry-cooks including Stephane Gerphagnon, the confectioner of the French confectionery La Praliné, Kékesi Judit, the Master Pastry Chef of the confectionery Angelo, and the young, enthusiastic Macaron maker, Szalai Dóra, waiting for being discovered, as well as Kelemen Melinda pastry chef and Barka Áron chef de cuisine, on behalf of the Araz restaurant, competed for the spectators’ favours.
Their task was to find the dessert perfectly matching the wine Caroline of Domaine Edegger from 2004. It is a great honour for us that our pastry chef, Kelemen Melinda instructed by Barka Áron obtained the first place in the competition.

Lavender Ganache with White Chocolate Mousse
