Value and Beauty – Safekeeping of tradition in the reflection of renewal
Yesterday a special fashion show called By Me Matyó and Spicy created by Tünde Hrivnák was held among the walls of Continental Hotel Budapest. This event was very important for us since our hotel represents the perfect harmony of the values of past and present here in the Donány street.

Continental Hotel Budapest had the honor to host THE TRAVEL AND PROFIT conference on 20. April 2012.
In the course of this event "The Best of the Year" awards were presented to the winners.

The forest feast of the happy goatherd
On 09.03.2012 our ARAZ Restaurant chef – Áron Barka was invited to a competition that was organized at the Metro Vevőakadémia (Customer Academy). Four stars: Nikolett Gallusz, Andrea Malek, Gabriella Jakupcsek and Győző Szabó decided by drawing names who will be their cooking partner for the day out of the four cool chefs.

John Malkovich is also among the performers at the Budapest Spring Festival.
Only 7 more nights to sleep until the start of the 32nd Budapest Spring Festival, which offers a variety of exciting performances, performers and concerts this year for its visitors between 16-26 March.
The opening concert of the festival will honor the memory of László Lajtha who was born 120 years ago.

Doubling Quality
In 2011 among the new candidates the Continental Hotel Budapest****Superior also received the Hungarian Tourism Quality Award. On March 1st 2012 at the official opening ceremony of the Travel exhibition I took over the award on stage from Erik Bánki, Chairman of the National Sport and Tourism Committee and Gergely Horváth, Chairman of the Hungarian National Tourism Office. This year 2 restaurants and 17 hotels were able to get their once received Q-sign renewed. Further six hotels and one restaurant received the honor for the first time.

This year is off to a good start! Until Twelfthnight, ie until the 6th of January we were operating with a full house.
2011 was a fantastic year to close: The hotel’s team produced an average of 76.9% occupancy! Our income was way above the values given in the feasibility plan, and above the plan we set up. This was our first full year since our opening. This great result is primarily due to our successful introductory marketing campaign, and to the excellent work of our sales team.

The coffee
I do not know what about you, but I passionately love the coffee. The essential part of my mornings is drinking the hot, fragrant, rich, espresso mixed with a little hot milk just to soften and highlight the flavor of coffee. So I can do my job refreshing and with full of energy.
