Sopron-Villány Wine Duet Dinner

At our wine dinner in February, our guests will have the opportunity to taste the wines produced by Tamás Lelovits and Kálmán Jandl Arnold's wineries.

 

The history of the Lelovits Winery dates back to the early 1990s. The former 1-hectare enterprise operates on a territory of 7.5 hectares along the restored characteristic row of cellars in Villánykövesd. Tamás Lelovits, who is a qualified oenologist, is striving to continue a 6-generation family tradition. Tamás has run the winery since 2000. His ars poetica is the following: Matching the perfect and the unique. Their wines in Villány are produced from the well-known Italian Riesling, Portugieser, Blue Frankish, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah grape varieties.



It is worth knowing about Jandl Winery that the typical family enterprise is represented by the father and his son, and is characterised by their enthusiasm for grape and love of wine. Their work is based on their strong belief that striving for quality without compromise is the only viable way in grape growing and wine production. Their best-known white wine is Green Veltelini, the beloved wine of the region.  Their speciality is Blue Frankish, out of which they bottle three types.We recommend gourmets to taste their Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Shiraz wines.

 

Along with the excellent wines, Gábor Kovács, secretary general of the Sommelier association and Ákos Kovács, director of ARAZ Restaurant recommend the unique menu created by Áron Barka, Chéf de Cuisine.
